How the Twist Brake Works

Product Information

• Easy to install, no welding
• Works with most carburetors
• Great for two and four piston calipers
• Installs on standard 1-inch bars

When you get the package in the mail from Kraus Motor Co. with your new Twist Controls you'll rip the package open and instantly appreciate the careful attention to detail in design as well as the precision manufacturing of Stainless Steel and Aluminum parts. We take real pride in making sure this is going to be your favorite aftermarket part on your custom bike. To install the controls; first remove those clunky old levers from your bike and throw them in the old parts bin. Cut 4 inches off the end of your 1-inch diameter bars and drill one hole in the top nearly one inch in from the cut end. Drill holes in the bottom of your bars for the throttle cable and hydraulic lines. Rout your throttle cable and hydraulic lines through the holes, inside your bars and out the ends. Connect the lines to the Twist Controls using 1/8-inch NPT fittings. Connect the throttle cable to the Twist Brake. Slip the Twist Controls into the end of the bars, align the Reservoir, and tighten the Clamp. Install grips and your ready to ride. We recommend running our Billet Grips with your new Twist Controls.
