Bronze coated frame, rocker rear suspension with 3 inches of travel using high performance air springs, performance built springer front end with 3 inches of travel and floating brembo brakes. Kraus Twist Brake and Hydraulic Twist Clutch, hidden master cylinder foot controls. Aluminum gas tank and rear mud guard. A drive train that screams raw performance through a 2 into 1 stainless exhaust.
This bike is 99% Organic, built using only the best materials with tooling made in the USA. This bike has no paint, the frame is coated in bronze, the sheet metal is brushed aluminum, and the aluminum wheels and gas cap are anodized with natural food coloring.
The raw metal bronze finish of the frame will change, darken and naturally patina with life. The raw aluminum sheet metal will take on different shades as it oxidizes and the owner re-cleans and re-polishes it. The weld joints in the stainless parts will change color with time. Dirt and oil will find its way in and live in those hard to clean places. Achuma was built with the intention that age would set in. That the battle scars of real road use would take their place and give spirit to the machine. Achuma will never be the same, always slightly changing. The key is that with these changes the owner holds an experience and memory. It is why someone has Kraus Motor Co. build them a machine like Achuma. Just for the experience.
A classic feeling, but aggressive and full of performance. Vintage styling but with modern engineering and high performance products. Light but solid and strong Achuma is ultra maneuverable, with a lot of suspension.
Everything starts with the chassis. From forward and rear weight distribution to suspension and braking behavior. The ridability of the motorcycle depends on the combination of the rigid members and the moving parts. The chassis takes the work of the drivetrain, suspension, and brakes and translates it to controllable forward movement. If this system is not adequately engineered then it will not perform the way it should or worse it will brake down. In contrast, when engineered properly, the chassis will supply the proper framework for a machine that can perform and be trusted by its pilot. The rear suspension on Bolide uses an uncommon design for an American v-twin drivetrain based bike. The mono shock swingarm is a well proven system but is not often used because of the configuration of the transmission, oil bag and swingarm pivot position
Designed in the spirit of Tourist Trophy. Engineered and built as a complete road ready and high performance machine. Bolide has a classic look, top of the line performance components, and a raw metal finish. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t.
